Have you ever wondered if you are related to someone famous. Well, if your surname isn't Dickens, you may think you're not related to him. Well, you may wish to think again. In a book written in the 19th. Century by John Forster called the Life of Charles Dickens, vol.1, some interesting information is 'revealed'.
Charles Dickens was born at Landport in Portsea on Friday the seventh of February, 1812. Charles' father's name was John Dickens and his mother Elizabeth Dickens. However, his mother's maiden name was BARROW. So do you have any Barrow surnames in your family tree. If you do, you maybe, just maybe, related to someone who was once a famous author (and still is, even though he died some time ago!). Elizabeth Dickens had a brother called Thomas Barrow.
